Haus am See in Norderstedt

Unfortunately I am disappointed every time after my visit. The food is mediocre and the staff unfriendly. Almost presumptuous. As beautiful as the location is, the staff does not make it a beautiful place.

We were there for almost 2 weeks last summer, just great! We recommend! Both the house and the hotel as well as the restaurant. We would like to come again!

Getting on in years. Was more glamorous in the past. Beer garden / terrace great in summer, outdated inside. Cake great. The currywurst with fries, however, was very bad.

The place where it is located is super beautiful. The store itself is quite conservative. There is no plant-based milk for coffee (oats, soy, don't exist! ... we don't even need to talk about almond and cashew milk). Somewhat unpopular these days; don't invite me so much now.

Attentive, friendly service. Hygiene measures are consistently carried out. The food looks as good and tasty as it tastes.

Food was ok. For the price we would have expected something different. Prices are already quite high. The view was great. Went on the deck overlooking the lake. The waitress was very nice.

Terrible service, never had such a bad experience in a so called “restaurant”. Bad food, too high prices and the staff was really really unfriendly. They even yelled at us for no reason. Would really recommend not going there!

The staff catastrophically unfriendly, have never seen anything like it in my life. The motto “customer is king” is definitely not known here. Food is also a bit tasteless. The cake was ok. Overall, however, absolutely NOT recommended.

Very hospitable, dignified and there were very delicious cakes. Exclusive location with a wonderful view of the lake. Highly recommended even in bad weather.

Perfect view

On a hot day at 36 degrees Celsius, we took a rest during the walk and enjoyed freshly tapped beer, coffee and ice cream on the terrace in the shade with a view of the Decksteiner Weiher. Service friendly and fast, restrictions due to Corona minimal. We recommend!

overall a nice place to chat and the food is absolutely great BUT there are no guides or info on where you should sit or which tables are reserved (they all have reserved tags on them but they're free). there are also segregated areas (aren't we living in the 21st century?🤣) where there is no service available and you have to go ask around for a waiter to come around. when you first get there, nobody tells you where these different areas are. so don't be surprised if you don't get a straight forward guidance from the employees there.

Unique location at the Decksteiner Weiher; large terrace, which shows need for renovation. The food was very good: I had a vegetarian dish, my companion was currywurst (2 sausages ... Why does it always have to be so much meat ... 1 sausage would have been perfectly sufficient.)

After the beer bottles were carelessly slammed on the table and we had to pour our wheat ourselves, our unsalted fries came. When we asked for ketchup and majo, we were each given a small plastic packet for 30 cents each. The service was really rude but the fries were delicious. If the service becomes friendlier in the future and so much plastic is dispensed with in the sauces, we might come back. The view of the lake is at least very nice.

It was a dream day. We spent our celebration in the Windsor room after the civil ceremony and were served with care and attention around the clock. The meal was delicious! :)

Location very nice, but gastronomically rather lower class! The prices and the standard presented don't really fit together for me. I think everything is getting a bit old and there is a lack of ideas and a fresh concept! Too bad, but as so often, as long as the chairs are occupied, nothing changes. 🤗

Old school German cuisine in a wonderful location. Service was very attentive and prices were reasonable. Recommended.

Warm cousy place in the winter months... and nice terase in sommer ... prices span can be little bit better 😅

I have never experienced such bad service. The waiters are so rude. After waiting 20-25 minutes to order another drink, the waiters simply would not recognise us, but rather clear up all the tables (around 20:00, and not at all busy) i walked up to one of the waiters to try and order 3 drinks and his answer was " i have to order with the other waiter as we were not sat on his side of the room" i explained we had already waited 20- 25 minutes, just for some soft drinks and there were only 4 other tables in the room with us. I didnt see the problem. "Our" waiter finally came up to ask and took our order. When i told him how i felt and how the service is not interested in their customers, i was told "if you dont like it, leave" Management should be ashamed of the way the waiters provide customer service. From reading previous reviews , alot of people have had the same problem. Time to act Haus am See Pros - lovely lovely location. Cons- Very bad Service, slow service, arrogant waiters, outdated.

Always pleasant!!! Service is perfect and we always enjoy our coffee and cake every time we visit!!! We highly recommend the place for all of you to visit... either for a cake, coffee, drink or a meal, this place is top!!!!!

Food okay, atmosphere beautiful, staff stressed out, understandably, too less waiters and waitresses for too many people.

Extremely bad service. Well, none at all. We were sitting at the table waiting to be served and no one came for 20min so we left. They should invest in more waiters during the weekend.
